It is Known for being one of the oldest surf schools in Portugal.The owner, Luis Bessa, surfs since 1990 and teaches since 2004. The team is qualified as surf, kite and stand up paddle and his instructors also as lifeguards and school teachers with lots of experience and ready to help.
Anchor Point Surf House is located in a small fisherman village called Vila Praia de Âncora, in the north of Portugal. It’s a small villa with a big and nice beach with a little seaport. Anchor Point is placed right in front of the beach (you may just have to, literally, cross the road), so we offer the best conditions. You can enjoy a beautiful view over the beach and watch the sea conditions without leaving home.

The idea of this project and the development of this school, came from an old dream we had and also from the enormous passion of surf all it can make us feel.
We could say so much but, for us, surf is not only a unique emotion that each individual experiences each time they are in tune with the natural and fleeting energy of a wave, as well as an unparalleled way of life.
