Beaches closed in Cape Town due to COVID-19
Lockdown in Cape Town for 21 days
The Cape Town beaches will be closed as of midnight tonight due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The lockdown has been ordered by the government for 21 days, but may be extended as necessary.
According to the regulations of the government, everyone who is not in an essential business function is to be quarantined at home. Taking a walk in your neighborhood, going to the beach or exercising will not be permitted. As a result, surfing will not be permitted either.
